Sudha Murthy

After completing her education, Sudha Murthy joined Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company (TELCO) in Pune as a development engineer. It was during her time at TELCO that Sudha had a chance encounter with J.R.D. Tata, the legendary chairman of the Tata Group, which would change the course of her life. J.R.D. Tata’s words of encouragement inspired Sudha to pursue her dreams and make a difference in the world. In 1974, Sudha married N.R. Narayana Murthy, a fellow engineer and the co-founder of Infosys, one of India’s largest IT companies. Together, they embarked on a journey to build a successful company while also giving back to society. Sudha played a crucial role in the early days of Infosys, managing the company’s finances and supporting Narayana in his vision.

Despite her busy schedule, Sudha always found time for her passion for writing. She has authored several books in English and Kannada, many of which have been bestsellers.
